Some evil Canadian has made an Internet Explorer adware toolbar named Mirar bar:

this thing is serious, it (the tool bar) install itself on your computer and no spyware remover that I know can get rid of it, I suspect they have made a program to remove it but they want 29.95 for it which is robbery. thanks

There are some removal instructions on the link I posted... did you find any website selling that? I can't find any website about it.

was able to do all of instructions in registry except I couldnt locate NN_Bar31.dll untill I used NN_Webband as a search string and behold there it was in the sub-folders. Deleted the folder and toolbar is gone.

I'm new to this forum. I don't know how to show/send a picture. Post a real e-mail address or tell me how to add a .gif and I will try to do so

I plan to use someone's instructions on how to edit the registry to get rid of this thing.

Mirar has downloaded itself to my tool bar. I followed your instructions on how to remove it manualy but I get amessage saying value had not been set. What do I do?

I am still trying to get rid of this toolbar how could this have happened. I'm not very good at using my computer but I know I didn't put this here. anymore ideas on what I can do?

I am the sombody that wrote I'm still trying to get rid of this toolbar, how could this have happened? I'm not very good at using my computer but I know I didn't dowload this aweful toolbar. Is there anything else that I can do to get rod of this ORANGE DEVIL?

free-host.com delivers the lousy mirar toolbar to all its free hosting clients. this is a means to get them pay for hosting. if hosting is paid they remove the mirar install screen from site pages. ugly stuff. thir tech support wouldnt answer questions concerning mirar. uglier.

Manual removal
Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove Mirar Toolbar.B manually.
1. Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run. (The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
2. Delete 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {8A0DCBDA-6E20-489C-9041-C1E8A0352E75}, if it exists.
3. Delete 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Browser Helper Objects \ {8A0DCBDA-6E20-489C-9041-C1E8A0352E75} if it exists.
4. Browse to the key:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Toolbar'
5. In the right pane, delete the value called {179E4B4A-76C3-4F65-BCED-C9FA1A28D2EF}, if it exists.
6. Browse to the key:
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Toolbar \ WebBrowser'
7. In the right pane, delete the value called {179E4B4A-76C3-4F65-BCED-C9FA1A28D2EF}, if it exists.
8. Delete 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {179E4B4A-76C3-4F65-BCED-C9FA1A28D2EF}', if it exists.
9. Exit the registry editor.
10. Restart your computer.
11. Delete %SystemDir%\NN_Bar31.dll
Note: %SystemDir% is a variable. By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP).

i tried this manual way of deleting mirar and it cost me $80.00 because when i did the instructions,my computer would not start after i did it.

Thank you for the information for removing the Mirar toolbar. Not only was it annoying but it also made pop-ups that my kids could not see, so I ended up forbidding them on the internet without my wife and I around. I also ended up changing my logon on password to prevent this.I tried to find some of the files in the instructions and couldn't find them on my computer, the one I did find removed and everything is fine.

I am embarrassed to tell you how many hours I spent trying to get rid of that #$%!AS%&* Mirar toolbar on my computer. THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !! THE http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php site worked and cleaned out this "pain in the___".

My laptop got infected with the toolbar last night at home. This morning in the office I had banners and pop-up windows of Viagra and other sex related ads as soon as I opened the browser. Not even removing and reinstalling Internet Explorer helped. A search for Mirar on Google led me to your site, and after establishing that the associated files matched that of Mirar B, I simply followed the instructions and the thing was gone. Thank you so much for the information and removal instructions. People that spread this kind of crap should be given a sledgehammer and forced to demolish every little piece of their own computer equipment.

Yeah no doubt. It's people like this that cause stupid internet regulations to be put into place so that legitimate advertisers (not SPAMers) have to pay a high price to get their products and service seen which in turn costs consumers more money. It's better than having my inbox overrun by unwanted advertising though.

You can thank Microsoft for allowing third parties to code browser extensions into their browser. Anyone with a half a brain can create a browser toolbar and spread it around.

I just wanna say thanks to you for helping me get rid of that stupid mirar bar. I noticed it just appeared the other day and didn't know where it came from. I thought typing mirar into search would help me find the company it came from, instead it took me to a page where i found someone prepared to give advice on getting rid of it. thank you very much.

Hey there freaks, you can rid of the mirar crapola easy with a updated version of spybot. I updated the old one today and it found mirar and ditched it .. have fun www.tucows.com/preview/310138.html - 29k i found a good version here .
